Hi. well am very much into health and fitness-am group fitness instructor/personal trainer-i do have a cochlear implant on left ear-i was not born deaf-lost hearing in my early 20's. At this point, i do consider myself "deaf" because without cochlear cannot hear anything! I know a bit of sign language, can lipread more than i thought-just kinda had to learn-not an expert for sure. try to enjoy life as much as possible without too much drama. Love to laugh, just be silly, love movies, reading, just hanging out and talking. I am looking for a friend, companion, who understands about being deaf/hoh-i dont know alot of people that are deaf-my whole family is hearing, all my friends (some have slight hearing loss but not the same)feel isolated alot because i teeter between the hearing and deaf worlds. i am pretty easygoing, nice, close to my family, and have a handful of great friends that do accept and understand my hearing issues. I dont need a millions friends, just a few really good ones. I enjoy trying different activities, am kind of a homebody, enjoy piddling around house, try to cook (getting better!). really try to make the best out of the worst situations, be positive and not let mean people get to me! that is a hard one!!! hope to meet nice, mellow, go with the flow, active, non prejudiced, no drama kings, control freaks. peaceful people - o we all have our moments but hope few and far between. i wont fight or argue unless its about something worth fighting for-not just the "small stuff". love dogs, allergic to cats! and thats about all folks! have an awesome day!
