Support Group in Berkeley for Hearing Impaired Adults

Hi Folks!
I am sending along this information about our new free, monthly, drop-in support group for hearing-impaired people. Myself and the co-facilitator are both hearing-impaired and want to create a supportive environment for people to discuss issues that affect us. Because this group is geared primarily to hearing-impaired people who use speech rather than sign language, there currently is no ASL interpreter available at the meetings. Monthly Discussion/Support Group for
HEARING-IMPAIRED and LATE-DEAFENED ADULTS

*Is your hearing loss affecting your relationships with friends and family, limiting your activities, interfering with work or other goals?
*Do you sometimes feel isolated because of your hearing impairment?
*Does it seem like your loved ones dont always understand?

Our peer support/discussion group welcomes adults of all ages, gay and straight, hard of hearing-identified, hearing-impaired and late-deafened

Meeting on the first Saturday of every month, starting
SATURDAY, JANUARY 5
3:30 to 5:00 PM
at the Berkeley Public Library: West Branch
1125 University Avenue (near San Pablo Avenue)

one-quarter mile from the Freeway (take University Ave exit off 80)
